2026 Gator Hunt

The annual Gator Hunt is set for September 11–13.

We are also hoping to preview the episode of Jason the Butcher that was filmed during last year's All-Women Veterans Gator Hunt. The episode is expected to air on the Outdoor Channel later this fall.

We look forward to another memorable event and will share additional details as they become available. Applications can now be completed online by Veterans and volunteers.

Lake Naconiche Fishing Event

The May fishing event at Lake Naconiche was a success. While the fishing was only fair, the fellowship was top-notch. The weather was great, with just enough wind to keep things interesting, and a good time was had by all.

A special congratulations goes out to Mr. Summers, who walked away with a new rod and reel combo after outshooting the competition in a friendly shooting match.

Events like these remind us that the real catch isn't always the fish—it's the camaraderie and fellowship shared among veterans and volunteers.

Veterans Hall Update

The Magnolia Ridge Veterans Hall is entering its final stage of completion.

We have scheduled a workday on June 27, and we are looking for volunteers to help paint the floors. This will be the final touch before the building is turned over to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

If you haven't seen the recent Facebook updates, the new sidewalk leading to the lake has been poured and looks fantastic. The sidewalk not only improves access to the lakefront but also serves as the future home of our Memorial Brick Walk.

The Veterans Hall project has been an incredible undertaking, and we are proud to be nearing the finish line.

Tribute Brick Fundraiser

We are excited to announce an ongoing fundraising campaign that allows supporters to permanently honor veterans and active service members while helping support PWSA.

Engraved tribute bricks will line the new sidewalk leading to the Veterans Hall, creating a lasting Memorial Walk recognizing the service and sacrifice of our nation's veterans.

The first annual PWSA Turkey Shoot is scheduled for the second weekend in October in Mt. Enterprise, Texas.
